During monsoon the wet skins rubs against each other and thus gets macerated and so the fungus gets easy entry to the affected area. This will result in itchy, reddish, circular flaking patches developing especially at the groin, the underarm and in the breast area for women.

Your feet are another target for fungal infection more so if you wear closed shoes all day. In order to avoid this make sure that your feet stay dry throughout. Another common infection that affects both children and adults during the monsoon period is scabies which is caused by mite infestation. Make sure to treat the affected person(s) immediately you see the symptoms of this disease because it is highly contagious and it can spread to other family members if not well treated and contained.
