This ethnic skin type is quite rampant over the globe and increase in demographic changes is calling for their skincare attention.
There are different parameters that need a lot of evaluation. The Fitzpatrick skin types III-V has been an issue demanding increased skin care and the entire process has been made difficult. Skin types have different qualities to consider and they are the color, the thickness of the stratum corneum (SC) and the Trans epidermal water loss (TEWL).
When age strikes, it’s been proved for quite a period of time that the light skinned people do not retain their youthful look as compared to the dark skinned people. Studies have been conducted severally and the Asian skin has been believed to be really affected by exogenous chemicals and this is due to thinner SC and higher sweat density. They are also susceptible to pigment disorders as compared to other ethnic groups.
